Today it’s all about skateboards—more specifically, surfskates.
These surf‑training boards arrived in our country to stay, and many brands have already joined the surfskate fever. Carver, Glutier, Sakari, Smoothstar, Yow, Slide, Miller, SwellTech, Surfskate are some of the most well‑known surfskate brands worldwide.
Yow
Yow surfskates, with more than 15 years on the market, have become a true benchmark in the world of longboarding and skateboarding. Based in the Basque Country, their factory produces some of the most important skate brands on the market, such as Jart Skateboards, Cruzade Skateboards, Iron Trucks, and Long Island Longboards. YOW stands for “Your Own Wave.” A surfskate made in Spain—fast, responsive, and fully capable of competing with major global brands like Smoothstar or Carver Skateboards.
Within the YOW surfskate team, one standout rider is Aritz Aranburu, ambassador of the Basque surfskate brand.

Carver Skateboards
Carver Skateboards is the leading brand in surfskates. As manufacturers of “surfboards for the asphalt,” Carver Surf Skate has been on the market for more than 20 years, making it the pioneering and internationally recognized brand in the surfskate world.
Among Carver’s surfskate riders are Yago Dora, with his new Skinny Goat model, and Courtney Conlogue, with her new Sea Tiger.

Glutier Skateboards
Glutier Skateboards is a brand that has grown into a major force in Europe. The brand was created by the first Carver distributor in Europe, until the U.S. company restructured its leadership and excluded the sales mastermind who had built their European presence.
After being separated from Carver, the former sales manager began developing his own brand and his own surfskate mechanisms, giving rise to Glutier, which grew at an extraordinary pace. He started with a single brand, and today he owns seven brands, four different surfskate systems, and his factory produces boards for 11 globally recognized brands, while also distributing dozens of world‑renowned skate brands.

Sakari Skateboards
The story of Sakari began in San Sebastian in 2004, founded by Segis Mundo Monso. It all started as a small adventure across several countries in pursuit of a dream—to bring this squirrel logo to life. After years of effort and exploration, the brand finally began to take shape.
What started as a simple dream soon became a symbol in the Basque Country for surf and skate enthusiasts.
The brand was later sold and acquired by Lord of Brands, the leading distributor in Europe, which is now the current owner. Today, Sakari stands out for its wide range of boards and its SGI trucks, which allow riders to enjoy high‑quality surf‑simulator boards at an excellent price and with great functionality.

Smoothstar
Smoothstar is one of the best surfskate brands on the market. The Australian company has created surf‑training boards that adapt to the rider’s height, weight, and surfing style. Designed by surfers and for surfers, their boards are used by riders of all levels to improve their technique. Among their team riders is Filipe Toledo, the Brazilian surfer who has his own signature model within the brand.

SwellTech
SwellTech Surfskate is a young American brand born from a surfer’s desire to create a skateboard that could deliver the same sensations of riding waves—on asphalt. A surfskate that gives you a true surfing feel on four wheels.
With Jamie O’Brien as its main ambassador, SwellTech Surfskates was originally launched as Surf Skates Industries. It is an excellent surf‑training tool and one of the surfskates that delivers the most authentic surfing sensations. These surfskates have very little in common with Carver Skateboards.
Slide
If YOW Surfskates has been around for more than 15 years, Slide Surfskates is another benchmark surfskate brand in our country. Developed by Sancheski, Slide surfskates are very easy and comfortable to ride. Sancheski has been a pioneer in skateboard manufacturing in Spain. They began in 1966 and haven’t stopped since. Based in Irún, in the Basque Country, the company designs all its models and then sends them to China for production.

Miller
Miller Surf Skate, officially known as Miller Division, has been developing skateboards for years. With the rise of surfskates, they decided to enter the surfskate scene in 2016. With modern and highly aesthetic designs, they quickly made a strong impact in the surfskate world.
The Cantabrian surfskate brand Miller Division features the LXRKP Surf Truck, a truck system that simulates the performance of Carver Skateboards’ CX trucks.

WNNR
WNNR is another brand born from the Glutier factory—this time inspired by classic surfboards and the boards used by elite surfers. It’s a young brand that has quickly gained popularity thanks to its fresh, youthful design.

Txin Skateboards is a bold, rebellious brand that builds its surfskates in collaboration with Glutier and Sakari. Its strong sales success comes from designs aimed at a community deeply connected to tattoo‑inspired art and monster‑series aesthetics.
This international brand continues to grow thanks to its highly sought‑after designs, which appeal to a very demanding audience with a refined appreciation for artistic detail.

Holz is a young brand—the queen of the bohemian style. Another collaborator of Glutier and Sakari, this Spanish brand designs its boards and releases its collections through artistic series created in partnership with internationally recognized gallery artists.
Its carefully crafted and meticulously curated collections have become decorative pieces in the homes of many celebrities.
